JOIN OUR MISSION!
We are always in search of kind hearted, ambitious individuals who can assist us in our mission in saving lives of homeless animals. As we are located in Southeast Michigan, we’re primarily looking for volunteers in our area. However, there are ways people can help our cause ANYWHERE!
If you are compelled to help, just reach out and join the cause! We are all volunteers seeking to make a difference. Together, our effect can be even greater.

Fundraise
Fundraising is core to helping the group run: For both supplies and monetary donations, we are always looking for new fundraisers to help support our cause. Not only does it help our own group, but we reach out to ensure anything we do not use is utilized by other rescues and shelters in need.
Our biggest fundraiser is our annual GARAGE SALE! We always put on at least one per year, but we would be so appreciative of volunteers who could host their own and we would be happy to assist!
We also have raised funds through Bottle & Can Drives, Bake Sales, Raffle Boxes, and more! There are so many ways to fundraise and we are in need of individuals to not only assist us with these things but to spearhead these projects on their own. Fundraising can happen anywhere, though the fundraisers put on by our board will often be centralized to Southeast Michigan.

Foster
We are a foster-based rescue, meaning we have no physical shelter. EVERY dog we save is due to good-hearted individuals opening their homes to dogs in need. These individuals are the core of our group and we truly could not do what we do without our foster-families.
The more homes we have, the more animals we can save. If you are compelled to open your home, please fill out the application to be considered as a foster home for a dog in need. As our board members are all in Southeast Michigan, we are in need of foster homes in this area.
-
Donate
We are so grateful for our generous donors who fund our mission. Our rescue is made up fully of unpaid volunteers who do this out of a drive to help animals in need any way we can. This means every penny donated goes to a dog in need. If you are unable to donate your time to help us through volunteering, fundraising, and fostering, please click below to see how you can make a difference by donating funds and resources.
Donating can happen anywhere and we are so grateful for the individuals who make this contribution

Animal Bathing & Clean-Up
Dogs coming from the shelters or streets are in dire need of a good scrub down to get them ready for their fresh start in our rescue. The conditions these dogs can come in ranges from minor dirt and dust to extreme matting, dirt and debris.
The initial cleanup is key to establishing with our dogs that we are here to help. However, there’s also follow-up bathing and grooming required to ensure our dogs are ready for their life save and sound in their new homes! We are in need of more volunteers to help bath, clip nails, and/or groom our dogs. If you can help or are interested in assisting our experienced clean-up crew in the Southeast Michigan area, please reach out!
-
Donation Collection & Transport
As stated before, we always make sure all donated items are used either by our own group or by shelters and rescues in need. There is so much waste in the world while there are so many who need help- we believe in going out of our way to eliminate that waste and utilize donated goods! If you are in the Southeast Michigan area and are looking to help, a simple but major help is collecting and transporting donated items to those who need them.
-
Supplies & Donation Storage and Organization
Between our supplies needed for foster homes, dog care items and donated items for our annual Garage Sale, we have a lot of STUFF! All of it is important but we only have so much space between our volunteers and their families. Only so many of us have garages and basements to store things!
If you’re looking for a way to help us, help us utilize space-saving solutions to our items so we can access them easily when we are in need! Keep in mind we are located in Southeast Michigan and will need them to be accessible to our volunteers, board members, and foster homes in the area.
-
Networking Online
Something that can be done anywhere and any time is networking our rescue across social media. Our primary social media site is Facebook, as it is localized to our rescue’s location of Southeast Michigan, but we also utilize pet adoption sites such as Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet, and RescueMe.
To network, it can be as simple as sharing a post to your own page or sending a link to a friend to get the word out. But what really makes an impact is when individuals create posts about our rescue on their own social media page, tagging our group and linking to our official sites.
Anything is appreciated as spreading the word and getting more people involved is key!
-
Community Outreach
We are all Michigan born-and-bred and we love our community! We are looking for any ways to get more involved and known in our local Southeast Michigan communities to spread our message, education, and awareness.
Have ideas on how to connect to our community? Let us know with our Volunteer form!

Shelter Outreach & Foster Enrichment
Dogs in our rescue and in shelters are at the lowest point in their lives. We want to lift their spirits and show them that bright days are ahead by giving them enrichment and treats to help lighten their load!
We prep special stews, enrichment boards, and treats for our dogs as well as dogs in shelters who are waiting for their brighter tomorrow. We can always use volunteers to help us prepare and distribute these items!
-
Tech Support!
Believe it or not, even our youngest and most tech-savvy members prefer to operate offline and have difficulties navigating different webpages, social media sites, donation platforms, and setting up printers. This is a huge hassle for us when really all we want to be doing is caring for our fosters, visiting shelters, and helping those in need.
Any help at all by anyone strong in these areas would be a load off of our board members and would make carrying out our mission easier!

Grant Writing & Research
If you aren’t so much of a social butterfly but want to help get us the funds we need, big way to contribute is Grant Writing. Grant money can be so impactful when obtained and anyone who can take the time to help write in for us to get these grants would be greatly appreciated!
We are in need of individuals to research grants our group is eligible for as well as assist our board in writing for these grants.
-
Social Media
A step beyond networking & sharing, we want to help spread our mission to as many people as possible utilizing the power of social media to share exactly what we do. We need assistance in photo & video editing, photoshoots, and posting to help our animals in need of help and homes have their best shot!
